The City of Rio Dell, “The Warm Hearted City,” is located on a bend of the Eel River below the ancient Scotia Bluffs and surrounded by redwood trees. The City has a population of approximately 3,250.
Located along U.S. 101, Rio Dell is an excellent starting point for trips to local attractions such as the Humboldt Bay area, the Victorian Village of Ferndale, the historic Pacific Lumber mill town of Scotia, the Avenue of the Giants with miles of the most beautiful forest scenery in the world through majestic redwood groves.
We would like to welcome our newest member, Billy J. Long, to the Rio Dell Planning Commission. Commissioner Long replaces Dave Gonzales.
